      - Create safer spaces for the discussion on all sides.
    - - Disallow the advantage of money; eliminate local tax base funding. Funding must be based on an equal base value per student, plus increases in areas where ground must be gained. Some traditionally poor schools must be provided additional help to raise standards and deal with problems that don't exist in more affluent areas.
      - Develop high standards across the board
      - Make teaching, especially in challenging environments, a job people aspire to - $$, prestige - just like surgeons. Think "House" but teachers.
    - - We must seek ways to eliminate discretion that can be biased in the justice system.
        
        Matrix-based sentencing
        
        Transparent, complete reporting on what is reported to DAs, what is acted upon, what is not, etc. Big data can, and should, reveal where real race problems exist, as well as help determine what factors are driving them.
      - We must reign-in the factors that lead to high-priced attorneys and outrageous lawsuits. The common person must be able to access legal representation that is not the bottom of the barrel
      - We must end the militaristic war on addiction. Legalize, tax, and regulate cannabis. Use tax funds generated (and saved from the justice system) for education and support of addicts.
    - - Provide playbooks, funding and support to improve poor communities in proven ways.
      - Make effective social service work similarly prestigious and valuable. Social work should be goal-based and performance driven. Benchmark increases in property values, as an example.
      - Ensure increasing property values don't result in pushing out the poor; these must remain their communities. Provide incentive for improved education to result in applying that superior education locally.

      - Sarcasm and snark aren't useful communication vehicles

      - Memes are also not good communication vehicles
    - - These discussions are necessary for personal and company growth. It is worth investing in the development of a core of moderators who can help facilitate effective communications on difficult topics.
