MY CANTEEN - Coggle Diagram

- - - - There are numerous beneficial impacts with the implementation of this application into the BSHS canteen for students and staff. As lines reduce more student will be attracted to ordering food from the canteen which then in turn increases the money generated by the canteen for the school, which will al go towards buying or being able to obtain more resources for the students of the school.
    - - A personal impact this application will have on the lives of BSHS students is that this will allow them to not be affected by their busy high school schedules and the students who do not get to rest usually can now rest and this will get them more energised for activities and classes coming up for them soon after lunch.
    - - A social impact is that this app will broaden the school canteen community with more parents being interested in their children's lives and be able to volunteer at the canteen, increasing chances of students to try a bigger variety of food presented to them.
- - - - Order user customised meals in advance
      - Have a selection possibility for campus collection of orders
      - Have unique order numbers for each order placed by users
      - display dietary and pricing information for all menu items displayed for the user.
      - Have a login screen and personal account functionality input into the application
      - comply with Australian accessibility guidelines, BSHS identity policy, and incorporate image attributions. This is all in terms of UI DESIGN.
  - - - Consistent colour contrast ratio within the entire application, without the colours white, black and green being the mainly used colours for the design, which should be implemented within MY CANTEEN but with a more suitable colour combination for the BSHS identity policy, this will be great for the usability of the application.
      - Presents information based on pricing and dietary information on each menu found. This will be a critical implementation within the My canteen application.
      - Shows an image of all items being sold, this image has not been stretched or modified in any way, which is a good idea in presenting product images for the user.
      - Be able to customise order after clicking on each meal, even though this would be a great feature for My canteen, it would not be possible due to the canteen inability to customise orders to cater to every student
      - Shows all necessary information, such as dietary information including; vegetarian, kilojoules, allergy information, halal, vegan and etc. Another thing they present with each item is the pricing, which automatically updates as you customise your order, this will both be incorporated into MY CANTEEN as they are vital to a food ordering application.
      - Uber Eats also incorporates a food rating option, which could be incorporated if required. This functionality will improve the usability of this application as newer students and staff have reviews they could follow.
    - - Shows clear, contrasting, quality images of the items being sold for the user to see.
      - When a user opens the application they are encouraged by the application to find the nearest store to them via postcode, this will be useful in order for the campus selection feature to be created in MY CANTEEN.
      - Brief description of all dietary information and pricing is provided with each item, this is to ensure the customer knows the item they are buying, this will be incorporated with all the information the menu.csv file provides us with.
      - "choose for me " function will be used within the MY canteen application just like the hungry jacks application uses it to randomly order meals for the user.

- - - - The application will be programmed on Xcode as the students are more likely to use school iPads or iPhones when using application, and android version may be coded late in the future.
      - Sqlite3 will be the program used to maintain and create the database required for the Xcode application to perform.
      - The database can be modified through a seperate user login interface only for staff to update students lists and canteen lists.
      - The database created in sqlite3 will be made a relational database and so when one user is taken out all information regarding this user will be taken out.
    - - Database
        
        The dataset was normalised into 3rd normal form, after this other information pieces were added in order to form the database, such as the other tables within the database, the orderliness table, cart table, profile table, order lines table and etc.
      - Dataset
        
        The dataset provided, presented a list of items with their dietary information and pricing, such as halal, veg, allergy info and etc. This will be utilised as the subtitle field to all the menu items presented.
        
        More information will be generated or found to complete the database, such as sample users for the profile table, and their details.
    - - An algorithm to retrieve and present information from the sqlite3 database
      - An algorithm to generate a random meal choice for the students/ staff.

      - An algorithm to present an updated menu within the application as the database is updated on sqlite3

  - - - Menu screen
        
        This screen presents the dietary information and pricing information to the users so they can easily understand the items being presented and can also provide clinical information regarding vegetation, allergy info, and etc. Each table view cell will be clickable to add to cart and will also have two layers with the heading and subheadings to maintain a simplistic design throughout it that isn't overwhelming to the user.
      - Account information screen
        
        This screen will present a list of labels that present the information based on the person who is logged into the screen at the time. This will show information like, given and family name, wallet balance, email, and etc. This screen is vital to users such as Mr T.
      - Cart screen
        
        This screen will allow the user to add more or take away items that are already placed in the cart by the user themselves. it will have a checkout button and present the price of their current order.
      - home screen
        
        This screen will be presented as soon as the user logins in with valid details, it will also present buttons for the user to travel to all other screens to, such as account screen, menu screen, about screen and etc. It will also have logout functionality that will enable to user to logout of the application and not be allowed access to the rest of the interface until they log in again.
      - order history screen
        
        This screen will present the user with their previous orders within a tableview, this information will be saved to the order lines table after every time the user has made an order with the menu. This screen will also have the price and details from the orders placed on the specific user.
      - about screen
        
        The about screen will present information on the processes the canteen uses when producing food and also how you can help them out, however in the coded prototype this information will be made with lorem ipsum. This will also have two images relating to the context presented within the label fields shown.
    - - Usability Principles
        
        All buttons and intractable options within the application will follow the contrast ratio of 3:1 and will be made clear they are buttons for the easy learnability of the user.
        
        A simplistic design will be incorporated within the application in order to make it as user friendly and increase as much learnability as possible. This will be aesthetically pleasing for the user.
        
        Security features will be implemented to ensure the users personal information such as wallet, and other information doesn't get leaked, this will be done by incorporating a login function which is user specific and user controlled.
      - Australian Accessibility Standards
        
        UI alerts presented to show errors must have meaningful messages that aid the user to resolve the error.
        
        Headings and subheading must be placed in an appropriate order in order to ensure the easy use of the user.
        
        Text fields for the user to input information must be clear just like buttons for the user to understand what they are and what they are meant for.

        A school logo/ form of it must be placed at the top and bottom of each page, this is to satisfy the school identity.
        
        School theme related and logo images cannot be stretched in any direction and should stay In the same proportions, as per the guidelines presented in the guide.

      - QLD application requirements
        
        Headings, buttons, subheadings and text must have a 3:1 colour contrast with the background of the screen.
        
        any links placed within the app must have a contrast of 4:5:1 to other text colours and the background.
        
        The primary font must be Verdana, however other secondary text types are Helvetic, Ariel and etc.
        
        Must have an about and help screen within the UI at some point this is incase it the app has a problem with it.
