Earthquake formation
Convergent /transform
Convergent +Subduction will lead to build up of frictional forces and over time when it exceeds the critical point and causes the crust to fracture and subsequently release of stored energy in the form of seismic waves.
vibration in the crust caused by sudden release of stored energy in the rocks along the fault lines and is released during movement along the plate boundaries.
At divergent boundaries
tensional forces when two boundaries diverge and cause friction to form at transform faults and leads to the build of frictional forces and exceeds critical point and leads to sudden release of stored energy in the form of seismic waves.
