POPULATION: All the organisms of one species in an ecosystem.
COMMUNITY: All the populationsof living things in an ecosystem

CARIVORES: Eat other animals
SCAVENGERS: Type of carnivore. They feed on dead animals.
OMNIVORES: Eat food of plant and animal origin
HERVIVORES: Eat plants
DECOMPOSERS:Feed on decaying plant and animal matter
Food webs represent the different food chains that exist in an ecosystem
The same living can be part of different food chains
LIVING THINGS in an ecosystem interact with each other in many ways.
DIFFERENT TYPES: Depending on the type of interaction
PREDATOR: An individual of one species hunts and kills its prey for food
SYMBIOSIS: Is the interaction betwen two or more different organism living in close association, usually to the advantage of both
COMPETITION: Both compete to survive and neither benefits
MUTUALISM: Both organisms are not dependent upon their relationship for survival.
COMMENSALISM: Is the relationship between two species when one benefits and the other remains unaffected
PARASITISM: Is the relationship between two spwcies when one benefits while the other suffers
SPECIES: Is a group of living things with common characteristics. Only members of same species can successfully reproduce.
