INTERRELATIONSHIPES
Interelationships
Symbosis:symbosis is the interaction between two or more different organisms living in close association ,usually to the advatage of both organism. The association may be permanent ,or it may be long lasting.A lichen is formed by algea and fungus. The algea provides nutrients to photosinthesis. The fungus provides shelter for the algea.
Predation:an invidual of one species,a predator, hunts and kills its prey, an individual ofdifferent species ,for food.Otters are predators of fish.
Relationships among living things:living things in an ecosystem interact with each others in many way.depeding on the type of interaction, there are different type of ralationships.
Competition:competition is the ralatinships between different species that have the same needs.Squirrels and dormice compete for shelters in the tree holes. They both compete for survive and neither benefits.
Mutualism:mutualism is the relationship between to individuals of different species when both benefit.Egyptian plovers feed on the remains of food from the teeth of crocordile.
Commensalims:commensalims is the relationship between to species when one benefits and the other remain unaffected. Many birds build their nests in the banches of trees.
Parasitims:parasitims is the relationship between to species when one benefits while the other surffers. The species that benefits is called a parasite. The hoof fungus ,like many other fungi, is is a parasite of plants.
Animals
Carnivores:carnivores eat other animals. For example:Eagles, wolves, tigers, shark and spiiders are carnivires.
Scavengers:scavengers are a type of carnivores. They feed on dead animals. For examples:Vultures, hyenas and same beetles are scavengers.
Omnivores:omnivores eat food of plants and animals origin. For examples:Wild boars, pigs, bears and chickens are omnibores.
Herbivores:herbivores eat plants. For example:Deer, rabbits and grasshoppers are herbivores.
Decomponsers:decomponsers feed on decaying plants and animals matter. For example:pill bugs earthworms and other small animals are decomponsers.
The process
Primary consumers:antelope are primary consumers, because they eat grass and other plant matter.
Secondary consumers:carnibores such as lions, are secondary consumers, because they feed others animals.Lions often prey and antelope and other large grazing animals.
Producers:grasses are producers, which means that they make their own food with the help of sunlight. They do this throught a process called photosinthesis.
Decomposers:some decomposers, such as dung beetles, feedon the undigested food waste of animals.Others feed on dead animals and plants. All decomposers recycle the nutrients in waste and dead material, making them available plants.
Sunlight:the sun's energy makes the life possible in the earth.Plants use the energy in the sunlight to make food. This energy start to pass along the food chain when an animal eats the plant.

What is a species?
A species is a group of living things with common characteritis.Only members of the same species can successfully reproduce. For example:Orange trees, lynxes, whales, wasps and vultures are different species.
What is a food chain?
When animals eat, the energy in the food passes along a food chain.
