Eternity
NPC's
Inn keeper
-
Jovial human woman, cycler
Shop owner
A fallen, has lost track of how many loops they have been through and tries to maintain sanity by making people as happy as possible in the day they are given
Before they were able to learn the rules of the loop they tried to remove a loved one from the loop by killing them. They forever regret this decision as they need to live with the knowledge they have committed murder and watched a loved one die by their hand. They never attempted this again.
They have seen others fall from the loop and try to awaken the town with preaching in the main square. After this they did not appear in the next reset and the town forgot they ever existed
-
Guard captin
Female Dragonborn, initially cycler but becomes fallen after the party starts to interact
Govenor
Female Human, permanent cycler
Astral cats
Speak with animals results in a wisdom saving throw. When the cat mews, the listener is hit with visions of all the parallel universes the cat has been and takes 10d8 psychic damage and calls unconscious, or half as much on a successful save. The spell then ends and the cat cheerfully rubs up against their leg.

Eternity
Eternity
Eternity exists in a constant quantum flux. In the rhythm of breathing out, you see multiple ghostly copies of the creature taking dozens of plausible actions. As if breathing in, they all converge into a more defined form standing in front of you. Breath out, and the ghostly figures return and you loose track of which is present.
Solid: Attack + Vulnerable | Phased: Weak + Evasive
"I am beyond names... your... "fallen".... term me,
E T E R N I T Y
Aberration that keeps cycles of time, trapped and looping forever. Like a collection of snow globes
Domain
Filled with hundreds and thousands of mirrors, each gleaming into a different time and place. The party's mirror appears to be fractured, with maybe two more they can see in a similar state.
"Please, be patient... I will repair your world in good time. Then, you may return to the cycle unbroken.

Encounter
Weaknesses
Eternity is more aggressive and damaging in his solid state, but also more susceptible to attacks
Hold Monster causes the quantum phased versions to converge onto the party's plane, forcing Eternity solid for the duration of the spell and will always return to phased at the spells end.
Attacking other mirrors causes that loop to gain fallen. These fallen heroes then assist in their own battles to fight Eternity
Party Killed
Every death by the party, if they made progress they level up
Regardless of what else happens, an Astral Cat goes missing, having sacrificed itself to recall the party as their anchor, allowing them to awake with the reset world
Fallen Allies
Maya - Sorcerer Snow Cat
Very confident, swashbuckler personality
This gains gravity as the fight continues
"Hey there, interesting pickle we've all found ourselves in huh, you wouldn't have seen a young elf phase through here would you? phases away
-
Human Barbarian
Grabs Eternity screaming "BRING HER BACK! BRING HER BACK TO ME!" giving the party advantage for one strike before he phases out again
Sudo-Ayta
A ghostly form of a half orc in their 40's can be seen hurling a hand axe at Eternity before recalling it
-
-
Young Elf Wizard, overflowing robes that are two sizes too big for them
Friend of Maya admires them

General location can be gauged by the consuming light when the world resets, or by tracking the displacer beasts

Magic Items
Griffon Mirror
-
Acts as a window into Eternity's domain, like looking out of a snow globe and you can see all the little lights of the other worlds dotting the room
NPC's shown this must succeed a DC18 Wisdom save to become fallen, on a fail they only see a simple mirror and have disadvantage on consecutive rolls that day
