Behavioral Accomodation
Develop a behavior contract, specific to that trip

Agreed upon consequences if the contract is not followed, in line with the undesirable behavior
- Chat with teacher if behavior starts to become an issue
- Self/teacher imposed break if the talk does not help (may rejoin the group when they show they are ready
- Removal from an activity if safety becomes an issue
- Parent will be called if behavior does not improve and student is not using strategies to try and be successful
Strategies for success
- choosing good partners to work with

- Bringing lots of food and eating through the day
- "secret signal" with teacher that they can use when you are getting off track
- Find a safe space in a cool spot that you can go to for a break
- Take breaks when you start getting tired or frustrated
