Colour
Colour is an
important tool to set the tone of the scene
, it can be used for
mood and emotions
you can introduce colour by
add gels to change the colour of your light
grade the colour of the video during post-production
featuring certain colours in your costume and sets
Era or time period
The film maker can set the movie in a different time period to give his or her own take on the story.
Mood and emotions
the mood and tone of a film must be decided in advance. you cannot begin pre-production on a film without envisioning its tone first.

Treatment
A detailed literary summary or presentation to a films story. with action and characters described in prose(text) form.
Characterization
Various aspects of the characters. Often these can be shown through actions and language of the character
Synopsis
A brief description of the overall story
Main Story Arc Structure
An extended or continuing story line over several episodes
Outline
The plot structure to your story
, Avoid putting
unnecessary add-ons
Genre
A genre is a type or category of video or film production with certain standard conventions
Logline
One or two sentences describing your whole story

3.5) Creative treatment for videos
Story treatment
is about how the video or film will unfold, in order to bring your story to life.
Creating an interesting and engaging storyline is key
Design and visual treatment
The setting and visual style of the story. Colours can reflect the tone of the story,
while the set and costumes can denote the time period
use the contents of a 'lived-in' home or office to define your character as a person
3.6) Visualisation tools
Mood board
To give the production crew a general idea of the style, colour palette, and look and feel of the video.
Video Sample
best way to visualize a video is to use another video as an example. a Video can convey not just colours and look, but
pacing and motion as well.
Important to have all parties involved, so that all can agree on the look and feel of the video
