Specialised Cells
Specialised cells vary in shape, size, number of organelles and types of organelles.
-
Some specialised cells in the human body include, red blood cells, intestinal lining cells, fat cells, sperm, white blood cells and nerve cells.
Specialised cells in plants consist of guard cells, xylem cells, root hair cells etc. These cells help perform different functions in their leaves, stems and roots.
Stem Cells
Stem cells can divide into tissue specific stem cells (adult stem cells) or pluripotent stem cells (embryonic stem cells).
-
-
Plant Cells
Plant cells consist of very similar organelles as the animal cell but differ when it comes to the cell wall, chloroplast and large, central vacuoles.
-
Animal Cells
Organelles in an animal cell include, the nucleus, cytoplasm, ribosomes, mitochondria, golgi body and the endoplasmic reticulum. Some organelles such as the centrosome and lysosomes exist in animal cells but do not in plant cells.

Mitosis
-
Interphase, prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase are the steps a cell goes through, during cell division
