Method
Participants:
- 18 Emirati females (19-21 years old)
- first language Arabic, English - SL
Procedure: 10 digital videos (topics: research question writing, argumentative essay organization, outlining and research proposal writing) - > LMS -> students choice -> submit the video -> teacher checks

Instruments: a two-part questionnaire
1) the first part -> feedback on flipped approach, video usage
2) the second part -> how flipped approached helped them to understand lang concepts
Questions:
- whether student-created digital videos develop academic writing or not and how
- learners` attitude towards student-created videos
Question 1 Results:
- data analysis
- language skills development through researching -> YES
- language development through simplifying -> YES, especially HOT skills
- language development through a focus on accuracy -> YES, they checked the work several times
Question 2 Results:
- cooperation is good, but non-teacher prepared material was the reason of lack of confidence
- the lack of trustworthiness in classmate`s knowledge
