Nature and the environment
DEFINITION:
NATURE- 'the phenomena of the physical world collectively, including plants, animals, the landscape, and other features and products of the earth, as opposed to humans or human creations.....or life in general'
ENVIRONMENT- it 'encompasses all living and non-living things occurring naturally'
PROBLEMS
Some people don't like animals
Some people have small houses and don't have places to keep plants
Solution - window boxes on balconies and windows
The environment, global warming, climate change
Litter
Something which could be used for litter picking
Landfill waste
We can use multipurpose /reusable items
Allergies (to animal fur, pollen etc)
We create pollution during manufacture through
waste produced
This waste is sent to landfills
manufacture(we need energy which we get by burning coal etc)

People have started to use packaging made out of recycled materials. This is better for the environment.

DEFINITION: Multifunctional- a product which can do more than one thing/has more than one function

PROBLEMS
University students need products that are practical and durable, but also take up little space and can do more than one thing. It also has to be cheap.
People living in small apartments and houses may not have enough space for big bookshelves

A lamp which is also a cupboard/shelf

A small storage box, where you can move the dividers to make the spaces bigger/smaller
A box which has lots of small drawers that are hidden. Could use a magnet to open a drawer
A shoe rack which is also a coffee table
