Animal Cells
-
-
-
Rough endoplasmic reticulum has ribosomes attached to it. The ribosomes and RER work together to synthesize protein.
-
Smooth endoplasmic reticulum have no ribosomes. SER produces lipids and steroids to help with the body's energy requirements.
-
The Golgi Apparatus is responsible for the cell's packaging, transporting and modifying of protein.
The nucleus is the headquarter of the cell, responsible for all of the cell's actions.
Plant Cells
-
-
Plant cells have a cell wall which provides structure for the cell whilst also keeping unwanted molecules out.
Plant cells also contain chloroplast which power the cell along with the mitochondria using a process called photosynthesis.
All plant cells have a nucleus, mitochondria, Golgi body, smooth ER and rough ER just like an animal cell.
Seeds
Seeds are divided into two groups, dicots and monocots

Stem Cells
-
Embryonic Stem Cells
Embryonic Stem Cells are stem cells that are formed in an embryo. These stem cells are pluripotent meaning that they can change into any cell in the human body.
-
Cells
Prokaryotic cells are normally found in unicellular organisms such as amoebas. They do not have a nucleus in which the DNA sits.
Eukaryotic Cells are cells that are found in multicellular organisms such as animals or plants. They do have a nucleus in which the DNA sits.
