Tara's sister, Emily gave birth during a blizzard. Although the baby was too weak, they drove her to a rural hospital in the town.
The doctors were unable to procedure the necessary surgeries, so they sent the patients to another hospital where the baby could be treated
-
I really liked this chapter because it is very nice to see Tara developing her journey in her academic life and all the strange beliefs that her family has
Chapter 29
-
Tara starts to think abou polymagy and how it felt incomprehensible "(...) in divine calculus of heaven, one man could balance the equation for countless women."
She also reflects that her acestor Anna Mathea had struggled a lot in her life because of her faith, but Tara wouldn't surrender to polygamy even if God commanded.

Chapter 28
-
While Tara was studying in the Cambridge Program, she had a very good teacher that was a specialist in the Holocaust
-
She was too traumatized because of what her father and Shawn did to her - she believed she was not worthy of being special, so she didn't want to go to those fancy colleges, she felt she didn't belonged there (despite her teachers' attempts to give her some self confidence)
This chapter is so poethic and inspiring, I love it
