Billy The Kid - Act 1
Key Moment
-
-
Acting: The act ends with both characters having an argument. The guys says Billy The Kid (old man now) is pathetic and drinks too much and his response is insulting him and the football academy he's attending.
-
-
The Acts comes to an end with the blow of a whistle from a football referee who enters fro stage upstage left.
Key Moment
0:30 into Act 1, The young man has a conversation with the old man as he chants some rhymes and kicks the ball around. This is a key moment because its the opening scene of the first act.
Setting: Park, brick wall with outline for football goal, grass, pavement and of course a wooden bench.
Lighting: The light is overall pretty dim and there is a dark and cloudy background surrounding the set.
Costume: The man is wearing a regular tracksuit with the Chelsea FC logo, and the old man on the bench is dressed in an vintage plain beige and brown outfit.
Key Moment
10 minutes into Act 1 I have identified another key moment. Up till this point the old man was sitting. But now both characters are on the hill chanting together and this shows their connection and the guys love for Chelsea FC.
Lighting: Has been brightened to show the energy rise and happiness for that near minute of excitement.

Key Moment
From 14:00 to 17:00 Billy The Kid aka the old man reminisces of his past where he played for a Chelsea reserve and scored his first goals and made headlines as a wonder.
-
Changes: Billy moves around a lot during this segment of the play. The lighting and mood change a lot as well. The set darkens as he calms down and also when he played the harmonica but it brightened simultaneously with his rise is energy.
-
Key Moment
11 minutes into Act 1 I noticed a sort of flashback where the actors change roles temporarily. The guy acts as a small kid and the old man acts as his own father.
-
Acting: The guy changes his accent, and higher the pitch of his voice to resemble a child, he also kneels and acts more like a kid. The old man also changes his sound.
Key Moment
18:00 into Act 1 and for a couple more minutes there is a lot of action and emotion and flashback acting about the war. This is something major because it's both a setting, mood, and theme change in the Act. The play was about football and now it's also about going to war and the relationship between different member of the family.
