Roundshot / Ball
Primary ammunition used by all armies
Solid ball made entirely from iron
Medium to long range
Used against dense formations
Lots of penetration power
Common shell
Hollow iron ball filled with an explosive charge
Could still detonate even when stopped
Explosions damages an area of enemies rather than a line
Grapeshot / Canister
Functioned similarly to a shotgun as it spread out ammunition when fired
Close to medium range
Limited offensive use
Lower penetration power
