Change in E.P.E is the area under the F-x graph, E.P.E = 1/2 kx^2
Pressure difference due to liquid column, change in p = h x density x g

Chp 5: WEP

For constant force, W.D. = F s cos ø
For variable force, W.D. = Area under F-x graph
For Work Done by expanding gas against constant external pressure, W.D. = p x change in volume
For extension within the proportionality limit, W.D. = 1/2 kx^2

Chp 1: Measurements

Actual (1sf)/ Fractional(2sf) / Percentage error(2sf) Reading must be recorded to same degree of precision (decimal place) as the actual error
-
Error computation
Rule 1: When addition or subtraction, add together their actual errors to obtain maximum possible error
Rule 2: When quantities are multiplied or divided, add their fractional errors together to obtain maximum fractional error
Rule 3: For terms which are dependent, find the maximum and minimum of the quantity and calculate the difference and divide it by 2
-
Addition of 2 vectors: Connect start of second vector to the end of the first vector. Resultant vector is drawn from the start of the first to the end of the second vector
