What did work/ will work
An On-site day service programme where elderly service user can attend.
Own premises/ rooms for own individual use only.
Private access/ entrance from outside
Minimum 2 large single use rooms one of which has kitchen facilities
Outdoor adequate green space for relaxing and getting fresh air.
Ground floor
Good Internet access.
Private, own use Toilet and shower facilities. Wheelchair accessibility.
Household cleaning facilities
Locked Storage facilities
New thinking/ crazy ideas!,/
Create small pods within new location as per crèche model.
Limit service users to 2:1 in each room. 5 days per week. 4 service users per day. No mixing of groups. Preferable same cohorts to attend on same days.
New location to be explored such as a “seomra”/ garden office/ portacabin with full utilities on a site with own access.e.g in a Large garden in CRS house? On grounds of a Centre near community facilities? Private Large garden site suitable for new build? New site suitable for several pod builds?
Crossroads to do own pick up and drop off with own service transport.
