Types of gene mutations - Coggle Diagram
Types of gene mutations
Point Mutation :
Changes a single base
Or depending on its position it could go unotice
This could change the whole Amino Acid
Deletion :
Removes a base
Changes every Amino Acid after the mutation
Causes Frameshift
The Amino Acid sequence will change cause the base is shift by one
Insertion :
Adds a base
The resulting protein will likely be non-functional
Cause frameshift
Changes every Amino Acid after the mutation
Inversion :
Invert a segment of DNA end to end
Each base will move around
