1st Sphere: Introduction
Introduces the situation and main characters. Sets the scene.
Reconnaisance: Villain seeks something
Delivery: The villain gains information
Violation of interdiction
Trickery: Villain attempts to deceive victim
Interdiction: Hero is warned
Complicity: Unwitting helping of the enemy
Abesntation: someone goes missing
2nd Sphere: The body of the story
Main story begins and hero leaves on the main quest
Meditation: Hero discovers the lack
10: Counteraction: Hero chooses positive action
Villiainy and lack: The need is identified
Departure: Hero leaves on mission
3rd Sphere: The donor sequence
Hero searches for a method to reach the solution and gains the magical agent from the donor
Guidance: Hero reaches destination
Struggle: Hero and villain battle
Acquisition: Hero gains magical item
Branding: Hero is branded
Reaction: Hero responds to test
Victory: Villain is defeated
Testing: Hero is challenged to prove heroic qualities
Resolution: Initial misfortune or lack is resolved
4th Sphere: the hero's return
In the final (often optional) part of story line, the hero returns home uneventfully, usually to a welcome fit for a hero
Task: Difficult task proposed to hero
Solution: Task is resolved
Claim: False hero makes unfounded claims
Recognition: Hero is recognised
Arrival: Hero arrives unrecognised
Exposure: False hero is exposed
Rescue: Pursuit ends
Transfiguration: Hero is given a new appearance
Pursuit: Hero is chased
Punishment: Villain is punished
Return: Hero embarks on journey home
Wedding: Hero marries and ascend the throne
