Educational technology as a field of study pedagogical - Coggle Diagram

- - - - Approaches from a technical-empirical perspective: the instructional means, the
        programmed teaching, the technology of instruction
        
        The theory of education, seeking to give scientific rank to the educational activity,
        supported for years in an empirical-analytical approach, whose epistemological assumptions from the Sciences
        Naturals were transferred to the land
        of the Social Sciences.
        
        Therefore, the technological proposal in this field
        too was linked to a positivist conception (concretized in formulations by authors such as Skinner, RomIszowski ...) that
        sought to know the laws that govern the dynamics of educational reality and maintained authors like Skinner,
        Briggs, Chadwick, Gagné, Merrill, RomIszowski ...) that sought to know the laws that govern the dynamics of
        continuing educational reality
        
        Under this technical-empirical perspective we distinguish three main approaches of Educational Technology focused respectively in the instructional media, in the
        programmed teaching and instruction
        systematic.

      - Approaches from the mediational perspective: the
        symbolic interaction, focus
        contextualized curriculum.
      - First
        concretions
        
        Following Cabero (1989) and Saettler (1968) in reviewing the contributions to
        theoretical foundations and
        methodologies related to
        Educational Technology throughout the History, we found some notable forerunners of this field of
        knowledge: the Greek sophists
        (-5th century, give importance to the
        systemic group instruction and
        materials and strategies
        pedagogical), Socrates, Saint
        Drinks of Aquino, etc.
        
        However, the immediate precursors of the
        Educative technology we should look for them among the American authors of
        early 20th century. In those moments, faith in
        scientific research as the basis of human progress led many educators and scientists to think that it could spark a new era of educational practice
- - - - Behavioral science and learning theory, giving as a previous reference the Guthrie's (1935) theory of contiguity and how
        prominent exponent of Skinner.
      - The technology represented by the modern
        film, television and videotape. Let's remember that it is at the end of the decade of the 50 that Ampex produces the first system of
        magnetic recording of the video signal.
      - The existence of an interest in individual differences of learning in
        1950s, citing educational research
        military, in the development of self-teaching devices (Pressey, 1950; Briggs, 1960), the programs
        branches of Crowder (1959), applications of the computer to teaching, etc

        considered as mere ET consumers, not as agents with decisional responsibility on it.
      - Underlying TE is a conception of nature of the instructional process of
        standardized and unidirectional character.
      - The context of emergence and use of TE is
        own of instances and environment
