The Alchemist - Plot Points, Finale: Alchemist releases microbes into the…

Augustus Laux
Daughter Kaitlin
Could be kidnapped, to get leverage on Augustus, to use his alcohol to distribute the parasitic microbes amongst people
Or Kaitlin has a parasitic microbe inside her that the Alchemist injected and is using this as leverage against Augustus
Laux's Laborers
Some rich people are against how addicted Laux's men are addicted to his alcohol (they comprehend the forsaken)
Rich people may even be hiring some people to sabotage Laux's brewery, or they just openly oppose how he treats his employees - they may even try boycotting him
Rich people may drop a lot of clues/hints about Augustus, spilling the beans on him as much as possible because they're so against him
After finding out about his abducted daughter, they may even make public apologies about stuff they've said and done
Augustus might even turn it around on the (other) rich guys and spill the beans on some of the stuff these other rich guys should be ashamed of - he'll have dirt on them too - either way, the feud might be obvious
They may even elude that he's having affairs even now with a few women - they may even plant some evidence to frame him, to cause problems for him in his marriage
A lot of these guys will be faithful, religious people, mostly poor (possibly underpaid)
A lot of these people are addicted to his alcohol, which is why they work in his brewery
They should be mad that they're underpaid and addicted, but they're too happy "addicted" to fight against Laux.
There could be other people who are angry against Laux for the way he conducts his business, and THEY'RE the ones who frame/attack Laux and his brewery

The Alchemist's Plan
-
They steal a few crates from Augustus' factory, go away and mix in their stuff, then re-cork them all. (They may even sneak into Augustus' factory and do it then and there)
He could have Poor people who he controls to spike the wine at the Dinner Party, but that might be too obvious.
-
They may even drug/mind-control a guy on Augustus' team to pour the drug into a particular batch of wine at the factory, then make sure that batch makes it onto the truck that delivers it on the night.
When they review the footage at the factory, they will see it on there.
A team of two or three of the Alchemist's mind-controlled minions are caught on security camera at Augustus' factory spiking the wine batch, then later on making sure a crate of wine is put onto the back of the truck that delivered the wine tonight.
The PCs can get the names and addresses of these guys (they live in the poor district, of course) and go to their addresses to find even more clues
These guys may have been killed outright in their apartment since they've outlived their use for the Alchemist
These guys may know more people in the other poor districts, etc
Make the Alchemist have 2 or 3 other sub-plans going on - not JUST the microbes thing, but he might be doing a couple of other side things:
Sub-Plot 1: eg. Studying the effect of Parasite X on the human body (he makes some humans with experimental parasites, which could have terrible, disasterous effects like exploding bodies, etc)
This person could be irreveribly deformed... the Bio-wizardry has transformed this person so much, they're completely unrecognizable. They're just a deformed husk of a creature/person.
PCs need a fear check against this creature/character.
PCs could find full Alchemist labs where they're growing human organs, creature parts, eyes in beakers, etc. Could have stasis tubes with humans/humanoids in them, in stasis with creature parts attached to them. If you let them out TOO early, they could die or go into a coma or other much worse things could happen...
Make this fully dark and scary, requiring Fear checks. These guys are dealing in horrid, vile bio-organic experimentation. Their creatures have animal parts falling out of them and tentacles out of their chest, like chest burster out of Aliens and the weird creatures from the Thing movie.
The scientists themselves are full alien, head-to-toe, all experimenting on humans and humanoids.
The alien scientists will also have bio-organic hand-held weapons and bio-organic parts on themselves; partial conversion bio-borgs if you will.

Alchemist Rival X
Deliberately sabotaging the Alchemist's plot
- This guy is competitive with the Alchemist and seeks to bring him down as much as possible.
- He'll be leaking information for people to find and causing disaster for the Alchemist
- The Alchemist may or may not find out about this guy
-
-
Minions of the Alchemist
These guys are minions from Atlantis, helping out the Alchemist with his plans

Part 2 / Middle: A bunch of mind-controlled townsfolk go on a "shopping spree" or cause riots in Hyperion
Post-Credits: Alchemist is part of a larger network of Splugorth Agents located in this vicinity of North America
Maybe he wants to set people against each other, cause some social unrest and get more people "on his side".
People are too distracted by the political upheaval that they may forget about mind-controlled people for a while....
The political unrest part would be good to use as a backdrop for this one - political unrest mixed with Splugorth microbe, parastitic and Bio-Borg wizardry
Splugorth stuff to use throughout the game:
- Various Parasites and Microbes
- Eyes of Eylor (on staffs, spies on walls, floating eye-thingies, etc)
- Rune Statues - moving or stationary (as guardians of secret bases, etc)
- Other rune weapons (rune swords, staves, etc)
- Psi-Interrogator, Psionic Rod, Staff of Pacification, Staff of Power, Staff of Eylor
- Zembahk creatures and other slave creatures in cages/crates/etc
Theme: Parasites and Hosts
(feeding off of each other to gain benefits)
- The poor could be feeding off the rich, but the rich might be siphoning off the poor just as badly, if not worse
- Same with Rich vs Mayor in power - how do they "feed off each other"?
- Could have pets feeding off their owners and vice-versa
Things Alchemist needs:
- Place to store Containers full of microbes (could be someone's basement or he could have a mind-controlled guy store them at the Water Supply plant for him)
- A "microbe distributor" to pump the microbes into the water supply
- Full access and plans for the Water Supply area
- He could mind-control some guards who work that shift - he could have his spies really scope out the place
- Alchemist needs good spies on his team - he could have regular townspeople do the spying for him (mind controlled)
- Alchemist will have a few spies around the town, each mind-controlled
Timeline Schedule for the Bad Guys:
- Day 1: Dinner Party attack
- Day 2: refine the formula more and do another test (Market Place)
- Day 3: Formula is good now, ready to go
- Day 4, or night of Day 3: Get the trucks to deliver the Microbe Water Pump (and any remaining Containers) to the site and set-up for pumping
- Setup pump and start pumping!
Some guys helping the Alchemist, some guys conspiring against the Alchemist

Questions to be answered:
- What is the Alchemist's plan from start-to-finish?
- What steps, exactly, will he take to complete his mission and side-plot, and where exactly could the PCs follow up on things to follow the path to the Alchemist?
