General Basic Education level
Objetives
General basic education will provide the knowledge for comprehensive training to learn to be, learn to do, learn to learn and learn to live together.
Regime of Rights and Duties
They have the right to receive free and obligatory education if they are between four and fifteen years old. Adults are included if they do not finish this period.
Definition
General Basic Education Level is found within the Regular Subsystem, and is compounded by the following grades: first 1°, second 2°, third 3°, fourth 4°, fifth °, sixth 6°, seventh 7°, eight 8° and ninth 9°

Prepare the student for higher education by developing life skills and competencies, valuing our culture.

Definitions
Middle education in Panama is made up of the following years: fourth, fifth and sixth. In which the student prepares to obtain a Baccalaureate.

Exit profiles are currently being reviewed for the offers and modalities they are correcting. We hope that this action will serve as the basis for the presentation of a general graduation profile for secondary education.
Higher Eduacation Level
Objetives
Form specialized professionals in the investigation, dissemination and amplification of the universal national culture.
Reality
In Panama there are official and private universities that have well defined entrance requirements.
Definition
The third or higher level of education is made up of post-secondary education, non-university higher education and university higher education.

State have to provide essential goods and resources to impel Higher Education adapting a well environment to the professional education
