What is alternative energy production?

Alternative energy production is when you use renewable sources such as solar power to create energy which is good for the environment. Solar power uses sunlight to create energy.

The Greenhouse effect

What is the Greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect is when solar radiation from the sun heats the Earth and bounces back into the atmosphere. However, there are gases called the greenhouses gases which include carbon dioxide, water vapour, methane and nitrous oxide. The gases prevent the heat from going back into the atmosphere and keep the heat trapped in Earth increasing the temperature.

Tectonic plate boundaries

Types of plate boundaries

Constructive

Destructive

Conservative

When two plates rub against each other moving with each other or the opposite direction

When two plates pull apart from each other. Magma rises to form volcanoes which erupt.

When two plates collide with each other form friction and pressure which cause one plate too flick and cause an earthquake and possibly a tsunami.

How can climate change effect the earth

Temperature increase can cause ice caps to melt which then makes the sea level rise.

Burning fossil can produce carbon dioxide which then can lead to adding to the ozone layer which will keep the heat in the Earth.

Deforestation can also produce carbon dioxide and also cutting down the lungs of the Earth. Tress are called this because they inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen
