Melting ice caps
This is due to global warming. Greenhouse gases trap heat, melting polr ice caps.
This causes sea level to rise, permanently flooding areas around the wolrld.
Ice traps methane, melting ice caps release methane into the atmosphere.
This contributes to sea level temperature rise, meaning that there are going to be more cyclones
mitigation

This can be helped through, renewable energy resources, less meat eating, less transport and afforestation.
afforestation is the act of planting trees. Trees are a carbon sink and so take away carbon dioxide from the atrmosphere through photosynthesis.

To lower the amount of methane being released into the atmosphere, people should seek alternatives to meat once in a while.

Transport
Transport on vehicles that use petrol or diesel are bad for the atmosphere. This is because they release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This means that electric vehicles are the way to go.
Engines tend to heat up. This is bad as it oxidises the nitrogen in the air around it, releasing nitrous oxide (which is a greenhouse gas). This means people should go for public transport more and use vehicles less and go for something such as a bycicle instead.
