Unit Circle

EXPLAINATION
The unit circle is a circle with a radius of 1. This means that for any straight line drawn from the center point of the circle to any point along the edge of the circle, the length of that line will always equal 1. (This also means that the diameter of the circle will equal 2, since the diameter is equal to twice the length of the radius.)
Its helpful because it allows us to easily solve for the sine, cosine, or tangent of any degree or radian. It's especially useful to know the unit circle chart if you need to solve for certain trig values for math homework or if you're preparing to study calculus.

Polynomials

EXPLANATION
Make sure the polynomial is written in descending order. If any terms are missing, use a zero to fill in the missing term (this will help with the spacing).
Divide the term with the highest power inside the division symbol by the term with the highest power outside the division symbol.
Multiply (or distribute) the answer obtained in the previous step by the polynomial in front of the division symbol.
-
Repeat Steps 2, 3, and 4 until there are no more terms to bring down
Write the final answer. The term remaining after the last subtract step is the remainder and must be written as a fraction in the final answer
