At the age of 14 he was admitted to the Royal Academy
In 1802 he was chosen to be a part of the Royal Academy to teach and organize exhibition
First work was hung in his fathers barber shop

His last will was to open with his money a home for older artists, as well as a gallery of his paintings
He was thrilled by the technical progress but he considered people and their actions cruel and rude
He entered storms and tempests in order to perfectly capture the landscape in motion
