White-collar employees' union
Blue-collar employee's union
Procedural Steps Towards Recognition
Register union serves on the employer in order to claim for recognition
Reply within 21 days
Company may request DGTU to verify the correct union and its members
The union may upon receiving notification of refusal within 14 days or after 21 days has lapsed
Make a report to DGIR for further actions
Minister shall give his decision upon receipt of notification and minister's decision is finalized as cannot be questioned at the court
RECOGNITION REQUIREMENTS
The competency of trade union
Must have the majority votes
Registered Trade Union
Appropriate trade union (blue-collar/white-collar)
RECOGNITION
The acceptance of an employers towards the employee's union as being representative in order to ensure the collective bargaining
eg: white-collar union represent white collar employees
eg: blue-collar union represent blue collar employees
