Grievance
A reasonable and legitimate complaint by the employee brings to his supervisor and which is not settled to the satisfaction of the employee.
The desire grievances arising between an employee and the company and between the union and the company be settled as equitably and quickly.
Procedure
Step 1: If the employee fails to satisfy from his supervisor, he may approach his manager/union branch official. If the employee still fails to obtain satisfaction within 5 working days he have to refer his grievance in writing give to union/Personnel Manager
Step 2: If matter still not settled within a further 7 working days, the union branch must make representation in writing to the general manager. The GM will then arrange meeting within 10 working days** of receipt of the union letter.
Step 3:
If the matter is not resolved , union make formal representation to the company in writing the General Secretary within 10 working days of the date of meeting
Upon receipt letter, the company will offer for a meeting between company & union, attended by the senior officials of the company and the union. meeting will be held within 10 working days after receipt of the letter
Step 4: If the matter still unresolved after meeting or any further meeting, both parties agree to refer the dispute for settlement under the provisions of the IRA 1967.
Settlement of TD (JCC)
Non unionised enterprise, well being, perational matter and matter related to rules and prosedure will be subjected.
Unionised enterprise, JCC comprises HR executive and several departmental heads representing the management will focus on subject disciplinary matters, industrial disputes and matters relating to terms and conditions of employment
If dispute cannot be settled through JCC, it will be referred to the Executive Committee of the union at the national level which will deal directly with the management.
