Gandhi walked three hundred kilometres to the sea with thousand of people

this plane was very unpopular
in 1947 Britain proposed the formation of two new independent countries: India and Pakistan
Gandhi didn't agree with the plan, but he tried to bring peace.
he went assassinated from a Hindu nationalist on 30th January 1948
