Operant Conditioning - Coggle Diagram
Operant Conditioning
B. F. Skinner
Created operant conditioning container which had a feeder with a button to turn it on and an electrical grid on the floor.
Initially the pigeon was hungry and when it pushed the button it received feed (positive reinforcement)
Another way was the pigeon was getting shocked and if it pushed the button the shocks stopped for a bit (negative reinforcement)
Another way was the pigeon was put in the box and if it pushed the button it would be electrocuted (positive punishment)
Another way (this was made up) was the pigeon already had feed and when the pigeon pushed the button the feed was stopped (negative punishment)
