Social Justice
Equalities
Race
Native Americans, African Americans, and Hispanics have been marginalized by social structures for years. Health care, environmental, housing, work...etc.
LGBT
Violence- Hate crimes , Bathrooms, Unequal Healthcare , Employment Discrimination , Military Service
Religion and LGBT Community have had many confrontations for a long time. However, there are Catholic groups that help advocate for LGBT and
Democrats remain more likely than Republicans to say homosexuality should be accepted by society. However, I see this as more of generational issue relating back to religion.
Women
Gender Equality , allowing equal opportunities and resources no matter your gender.
Religious groups who are consider minorities are often subjected to oppression. For example, Muslims in America are often discriminated against due to their beliefs.
I am a white woman and have experienced social injustices. From it being told I shouldn't play baseball or I could never be a doctor. In order to build a peaceful and prosperous country, minority groups need to be built in the **social structures of this company, and in order to do that, we need the white man.
Health Care
The Republican Party opposed a government run health care system, because it constitutes socializes medicine. They are also in favor of a personal insurance. Republicans believe the ACA discriminates against those who can pay for insurance through a provider.
Democrat's have been fighting for a universal health care. Under the Obama administration the Democrats Brought about the Affordable Care Act. The ACA assures that every US citizen has access to affordable health care.
For many people, spiritual or religious beliefs may affect the decisions they make about their health and illness and the treatment choices they make. Such as medicines based on animal products, modesty, and the preferred gender of their health providers
My views on Health Care have changed due to current issues surrounding the pandemic. I used to have a more conservative outlook on the topic. However, after seeing what's happening right now I do believe there should be something of more of a universal health care.
Economics/Welfare
Faith-based organizations across America are critical allies to the Democrats when discussing Welfare and poverty. Organizations work with communities by lifting others up, valuing their work, and supporting.
Republicans believe that should control both their own and their government's pocketbook, the people should authorize all tax increase. Also known as Flat tax. So when discussing welfare, the governmental power and resources should be kept close to the people and not the leaders or federal government.
Both parties have worked for religious charities and groups on this issue, however, some worry about the Constitution and still providing that sense of secularism. I believe that the government should remain secular however still work alongside faith-based organizations that are working for the community. Because any organization that contributes towards a community should not be denied help from the government.
Democrats believe that the federal government should have more control over the finances of the country, states, and the communities. The federal government should define the taxes necessary to meet its obligations so taxes based on your own income. When discussing welfare, they believe in federal intervention where power rests in the government and not the people.
Environmental
There is a great debate between older and younger republicans when it comes to environmental policies. The older generation is even as anti-environmentalists due to them opposing scientific facts. In newer generations, we see the development of ConservAmerica, which seeks to strengthen the Republican Party's stance on environmental issues and support efforts to conserve natural resources and protect human and environmental health

I believe the protection of the environment should be at the top of the list for every government. Climate Change impacts all of us, not just those who are less fortunate. With the help of religious leaders, too, can greatly impact how people view the environment.
