life
He was from a poor family, in the grammar school he learned, helped girls reply to love letters - talent in writing
Worked at Wilde's printing shop, later on had his own. 1733 started writing journals for the House of Commons. Was a member of a group called "Society for the Encouragement of Learning" that helped authors become independent from publishers.
At the end of his life he enjoyed a high social status and stopped writing as he didn't like the ideas given.
Henry Fielding
life
He went to Eton College. In 1725 he tried to abduct his cousin, in response to which he was sent to Leiden to study classics and law. Due to lack of money he started writing and never got a degree. Gained a high social status and in 1750s went to see sun in Portugal, died in 1754

Samuel Johnson
life
He went to a grammar school in Lichfield, later to Pembroke College, quit due to lack of funding. During his life gained literary reputation.
