Big Brekky - Coggle Diagram
Big Brekky
Proposed solution provided
Student metrics
The student will see a calendar with the available dates of events on them. The student can select any of the available events whilst also selecting a second preference in the unlikely case of a termination of the first event. A student user has the permission level of 0, having the lowest amount of power in terms of what they can do on the solution.
Staff metrics
The staff or otherwise known as the organiser will receive information of who has singed up for the event that they are taking. Staff or organisers have the permission level of 1
Admin metrics
Once the admin signs into the admin login then they will be granted authorisation to edit, delete or add users to events whilst also being able to delete whole events. Admins have the permission level of 2
Data elements
A database for the forms and the preferences fo the students.
Authorisation
Parental authorisation
The parental authorisation for the users to participate in the program is very important for the safety side of this solution.
Usability Principles
Learnability
Buttons and features of the site are well paced enabling the user to easily adjust to the system
Portability
The portability is of a high level, it is platform dependant as it can be used on both Safari and Google Chrome.
Accessibility
It does not possess any features for user's with special needs
Effectiveness
The interface does its job, the user enters their data, it goes to the Big Brek database. The user can then login. Once the user is logged in they can select events that they would like to participate in and those events will be registered in the database
Utility
The utility is of an intermediate level as one page is not yet linked up to the database
Responsiveness
Was not tested
Proposed solution extended
Possible data extensions
What can the staff do ?
Higher security (Authorisation)
This could include all staff members or organisers submitting a photo of their blue card to ensure that they can legally work there
For students
2-Factor authentication for login
Students parents or care giver would have to provide confirmation through phone number
For organisers
2-factor authentication for login
For admin
2-Factor authentication and email verification in the login process
An admin view to be added to the system where they can delete or add events or participants with through a settings function
Usability Principles
Learnability
Being very adjustable for all users by making efficient use of the other usability principles
Accessibility
Using screen readers for the blind or using features such as large buttons for the mobility challenged
Portability
Being platform dependant on lesser known platforms such as Android and iOS
Effectiveness
Adding features such as email and 2-factor authentication for a higher level of security for all users
Utility
Adding a higher level of utility to database and web page
Responsiveness
Responsive on every different type of display of device
