Unit of Leaning - Year 10 - The Modern World and Australia - World War II (1939-45) (ACARA, 2020a) – Experiences of Australians during World War II (ACDSEH108).
Rational
The learning sequence will require the student to examine a variety of sources which investigate the experiences of Australians during World War II (WWII). These lessons will include the fall of Singapore and Australian POWs; Aboriginal and Torres Islander service personal during WWII; International Relations during WWII; the Australian home front.

The content of this unit is designed to detail specific historical experiences of Australians, International Relations, Indigenous Australian’s, and Women on the Home Front during WWII.

Differentiated learning, providing learning activities with same class orientated learning goals.

The depth of studies will include - General Capabilities – ‘Knowledge, skills, behaviours and dispositions’ (ACARA, 2020b) which influence the way individuals analyse and understand events.
