Power
Power is the ability to affect change. It is the ability to manage issues and people to achieve a larger vision. People with power are generally leaders and inspire, motivate and control people to reach a higher level. They have the ability to exert influence.
Sources of power

Referent: This is the result of a person's perceived attractiveness, worthiness and right to other's respect
Expert: Based on a persons high level of skill and knowledge. When one is able to understand a situation, suggest solutions, use solid judgement and generally outperform others.

Legitimate: This comes from the belief that the person has the formal right to make demands and expect others to be compliant and obedient.
Informational: This results from a persons ability to control the information that others need to accomplish something.

Economic Power: Power emanating from possession of material things especially the major means of production and distribution.

Self serving fairness interpretations - When one prioritises what is fair for themselves over being neutral.
Overconfidence - Overconfidence can overrule our judgements which may lead to unrealistic expectations.

Mediation - When a third party intervenes and helps to resolve an internal conflict in an impartial way.

Productive Conflict

business leaders should embrace this conflict and shouldn't tamp it down. These uncertainties tell you about a problem that needs your attention. If solved it can cause economic equity.
