Mayas calenders
This achievement was important because they were able to make thier own solar calendar that was very accurate by studying the skies.
The Maya also had a sacred calendar of 260 day and every 52 years the first date of both calendars fell on the same date and 52 years was like a century to them
Incas road system
The Incas weren't as remarkable as the Mayas because even though they were great at engineering the Mayas were more advanced than them in other things like mathematics and astronomy. The Maya also had a very complex writing system unlike how the Incas didn't even have a writing system and just used quipus to send messages.
One achievement the Incas had was creating thier road system.The Incas road system was vast and spread all around the incan empire.They made routes through steep mountains,build suspensions bridges carved stair cases,and even made tunnels so people could get were they needed to.
Maya mathematics
This achievement was important because they had a highly advanced numeral system which was very similar to ours.The Maya would use placed values just like we do and understood the value of the number 0 which very few civilizations knew.
The Maya also knew how to subtract and add place values and had thier number system based of 20s
Mayas writing system
The writing system was well developed and used hieroglyphics to represent sounds, words, and ideas. Over time the Mayas created hundreds of glyphs for thier writing system and eventually were able write down everything in their spoken language.
This achievement was important because thier writing system was one of the most complex and sophisticated in the Americas.
Aztec's construction of capital
One achievement the Aztecs had was building their capital Tenochtitlan on lake Texaco.The Aztecs used an island that was originally there and then made a bunch of other little islands and connected them together to make the land were Tenochtitlan would sit.
The Aztecs were not as remarkable as the Mayas because their achievements weren't as great as the Mayas.For example the Aztecs did make their own writing system but the Mayas was greater and more sophisticated,then they adapted the Mayas calendar and didn't actually calculate it so it doesn't make it as great and it also show how they didn't study astronomy like the Mayas did.
