Charlemagne
Crowned by the pope as Holy Roman Emperor in 800CE
This gave him more power this made him seem holier and a rightful leader of the church and the people
Charlemagne defeated the Saxons between 772-804 AD
He forced and converted them to Christianity

Many wanted to marry her as she her father was very rich and she had no brothers

William the Conqueror
After he became king of England he built castels for the soldiers
He did this for the soldiers that didn't like him so he could control them better
He invented The doomsday in 1085
It was a survey for all the men around England
It's kept track of every male over the age of 12 including all their animals, land and crops

There was no police in medieval Europe
Villages arised the alarm that a crime had been committed by using the hue cry
Hue and cry is where they use bystanders who witnessed the criminal committing the crime
Anglo-Saxons
They created a system where every male above the age of 12 joined a tithing
A tithing was a group of 10 men who managed each others behaviour
Women
They were thought of lesser or lower than men

Their role was to be loyal to the king and serve him in wars

They were thought to of been liked to god
Crusades
A series of religious was between the Christians and Muslims to secure power by both groups.
