A parasitic plant is one that partially or completely depends on another plant called the host for nutrition.
Eg: Dodder, Mistletoe and Rufflesia
Saprophytic Plants
A saprophytic plant is one that obtains its nutrients from dead and decaying plant and animal matter
Eg: Coral Root, Indian Pipe and Agaricus
Insectivorous Plants
The insectivorous plants are the ones that derive most or some of their nutrition by trapping and consuming animals mainly insects.
Eg: Pitcher plant, Sundew, Bladderworts and Venus flytrap
Symbiotic Plants
Plants that live in association with other organisms, share food and other resources are called symbiotic plants.
Eg: Lichens, Algae and Fungus.
