Direct speech: we inverse the subject and the verb.
Reported speech: keep order fo a statement and do not iverse the subject and the verb-
Yes or no answer= if or whether
have to be use in two situations:
Negative sentence (stay as musn't ins reported and direct speech)
Time and place reference
Yesterday= the day before
Today= that day
Tomorrow= the next/ the following day
Next week= the following week
DON'T change when they are reported in a LATER TIME.
Present simple= past simple
Present continuous= past continuous
Past simple= past perfect
Present perfect= past perfect
reporting what the person said.

It is often used to summarise what someone says.
Say something/ tell somebody
Communicate the message of what was actually said in a more concise manner.
Past perfect doesn't change
