So far there has been three generations of computers
- First generation: 1937 – 1946 - In 1937 the first electronic digital computer was built by Dr. John V. Atanasoff and Clifford Berry.
- Second generation: 1947 – 1962 - This generation of computers used transistors instead of vacuum tubes which were more reliable.
- Third generation: 1963 - present - The invention of integrated circuit brought us the third generation of computers.

Starting middle school and continuing all the way to university computers has replaced the need to purchase or acquire text books since you can now use a link to retrieve the material needed. Not to mention completing assignments, online testing and communicating with your teachers and professors.
Computers has made compiling information a lot more efficient. With a computer you can type your information a lot quicker than writing it out.
Computers are much more reliable when it comes to storing your assignments or other personal and important documents.

Thesis Statement
Computers are essentially better than paper if you look at the overall picture and consider all the pros and cons.
Computers can store and retrieve information a lot faster than paper. It is also a safer way to store personal documents.
During quarantine we are especially relying on computers since our population are unable to go to school or work. Computers has made it possible for us to continue somewhat regular daily operation.
