Cause of the Russian Revolution
Long term causes
Tche government and controlling party was taken over by the Bolsheviks, putting Russia in a communist state.
Vladimir Lenin passed away on January 21st 1924, there came the rise of Stalin, putting Stalin in power.

Short term causes
The Bolsheviks came into power and was respected amongst the society- the citizens would vote for them in the elections.
The peace document was signed between Russia and Germany, or between Russia and the Russian Soviet Socialist Republic (RSFSR). This enabled Russia to get rid of the first World War and continue to develop its own country in the process of devoting itself to Marxism.
WWI: 1914-1917
Around that time, banks were also nationalised, allowing the economical state of Russia to be balanced out.
Trigger causes
Caused by peasants and working class people of Russia revolted against the government of Tsar Nicholas II.
This was lead by Vladimir Lenin and Bolsheviks, General Strike
Before the revolution, Russia was ruled by a powerful monarch called the Tsar. He was really powerful which he commanded the army, owned lands and controlled churches.
During this difficult time, the life of working class people and peasants are difficult. They are basically treated like animals.
The people of Russia first revolted in early 1917. Many workers came together and formed a riot.
