BASIC EMOTIONS
they are called basic emotions because we all had felt those emotions and scientists state that tose emotions are incorporated in our brains since we are born. they came with us.

SADNESS
transient emotional state characterized by feelings of disappointment, grief, hopelessness, disinterest, and dampened mood.
sadness is something that all people experience from time to time. sometimes people may feel sadness for a very prolonged amount of time and that can cause you depression.

COGNITIVE
physiological arousal occurs first, and then the individual must identify the reason for this arousal to experience and label it as an emotion
stimulus leads to a physiological response that is then cognitively interpreted and labeled which results in an emotion.
james long theory
NEUROLOGICAL

states that first comes the physiological response and then according to which physiological response you have, you will know which emotion you are feeling
3 MAIN COMPONENTS

Many of the physiological responses you experience during an emotion, are regulated by the sympathetic nervous system, a branch of the autonomic nervous system.
The autonomic nervous system controls involuntary body responses, such as blood flow and digestion.

scientists state that emotions are subjective. this means that people feel in a different way that others. they have a certain way of feeling things. this varies depending the person and the environment.
we don't always experience pure forms of each emotion. there are mixed emotions over different events or situations in our lives are common.
