This desease cause a great damage to the population of the Americas because it killed from 90 to 95% of the overall population. On the other hand, if this virus hasn't expanded, nowadays there will be no vaccine aginst it and a lot of people will maybe still dying due to this illnes.

Tomatoes
Tomatoes were one of the crops imported from the Americas in the Columbus exchange. This occurred in the 16th century and it altered the cuisine of many countries and regions, one of the culinary cultures that changed significantly was the Mediterranean one.
If tomatoes hadn't arrived to Europe, nowadays there will be no pizza, which is one of the most consumed foods in the entire planet.

Pigs
Pigs arrived in the New World with the second voyage by boat of Cristobal Columbus in 1493.
They were so advantageous for the Americans because they ate anything and breed very fast. Thanks to this the lack of nutrition in the country decreased significantly.
Furthermore, the economy of the country raised due to the different beneficial parts of the pig, such as meat tallow or hides.
