Ch.7
Annemarie bgins to remember the back times whenthey visited the farm, and the children tucked away in the bedrooms and the grownups downstairs talking. But there wwas laughter, and there wasn't at all.
The girls begin to talk about the ocean and Sweden, also they find a kitten and talk to it, suddenly they hear their names, it's Annemarie's mom.
The mom asks if they talked with someone, they answer no. Then they recieve the explanation that now is dangerous to talk to someone strange, also their uncle Henrik's friends.
When the uncle Henrik arrives, he recieves all the information about what happened. The mother missed his brother, they were very close.
Ellen thinks about her parents and her collar, so she asks where is it, Annemarie answers that she has hidden it, and it will be hidden until it is safe again.
Ch.6
After the long night, the father of Anemarie decides not to take the girls to school, because maybe the soldiers are looking for Jewish students, so he tells his wife to take them with their uncle Henrik.
The dad talked with the uncle, while Anemarie listened, but it was very puzzling, then, she knew they were talking in code.
The mom decides to go alone with the girls and leave his husband in the house to protect it from the soldiers; they agree
They go by train, they watch the landscapes, and suddenly, a pair of soldiers enter, they ask where do they go and the mother answers:
"Gilleje". The soldiers then asked if they were going because of new Year and the answer was "It's October,it can't be New Year"
When they arrive, the mom begins to talk about her memories
