Life in Nazi Germany
The Jews
They were seen to be inferior by the rest of society, specifically the Nazis
Kristallnacht was a night of which many Jewish communities were destroyed by Nazis, who rampaged through towns, smashing windows and damaging infrastructure.
-
This would have led to a very unhappy lifestyle for the Jews and would have massively decreased their quality of life.
This would decrease the support for the Nazis as many will not agree with the ill-treatment of the Jews.
Aryan Children
At school, they were taught a curriculum that encouraged discrimination and discouraged racial mixing.
-
This lifestyle would probably not have effected the children as much as the adults as they would not know of any different. Being raised in such a way would mean that this was the norm to them and so would not come as a shock.
This would increase the support for the Nazis as these children were being taught the Nazi beliefs as facts and therefore would grow up to support the ideas.
Gypsies, Jehovah's witnesses, homosexuals
These groups of people did not conform to the Nazi beliefs, a campaign was created that used forced sterilisation to try to eliminate these areas of society.
The Nazis also wanted to try to out breed these groups and so physicians were ordered to euthanize any children believed to be unworthy.
These groups of society would have probably have felt very isolated as they were kept away from society, this would most likely have made their lives very unhappy.
Aryan women
Aryan women were expected to be very modest, dedicated to the Christian religion and to reproduce children in order to grow and strengthen the Nazi population.
A German cross was presented to women who were the mother to at least four children, this was seen as an achievement that they deserved an award for.
Aryan women would have most likely have lived a rather unhappy lifestyle as well as they were effectively being used and were not permitted in many work places and so the majority would stay at home.
