Verbs
Linking
Links the subject to the noun or adjective. Not an action verb.
Linking verbs are generally stative
look, seem, tastes, feel, become, am/are/is, was/were, been, being, have/has/had been, will be, etc.

Phrasal verb
A verb + particle/s
The particle often changes the meaning of the verb.

Express specific actions & used to indicate an action, process, or sensation as opposed to a state.

Notice that some of these verbs could be action, linking, auxiliary.

Base/root form
A verb form that has not been conjugated and do not include prefixes or suffixes.
