The normal force is the force that surfaces exert to prevent solid objects from passing through each other.

If there was no normal force, you'd be slowly seeping into the ground.

when you hit a ball with a bat than the amount of force you put into the ball effects how far it will go and the mass of the ball and the bat will effect it. If the ball is light it will take less effort to hit the ball.

Balanced forces are those two forces acting in opposite directions on an object, and they are equal in size.
