In chapter 13 Kenny wants to go to a place called Collier's Landing where 6 kids have died and tried to convince Byron to come as well. Byron told a story of Wool Pooh, Winnie-the-Pooh's evil twin, but Kenny still went. When Kenny tried to catch some fish, he slowly drifted to the center and then saw a creature with square toes,shoulders and hands and had no head. It tried to drown Kenny but he kept on fighting, and then Byron came and saved Kenny. Byron was crying and hugging Kenny. In chapter 14, Joetta got ready for Sunday School, and then while relaxing, Kenny heard a boom. Then when he went inside, Byron told him that a bomb exploded at the church Joetta went to. Kenny then followed everyone else and then reached the church. Kenny went inside and saw Wool Pooh, and then went back home to Grandma Sands. When he reached the house, he found Joetta, safe and sound. She says that he followed him even though it wasn't him. When he realized it was most likely Wool Pooh, and rushed back to the church. In chapter 15 the Watson's return back to Flint with Byron. Kenny is spending a lot of his time in the back of the couch, hoping he will get magical powers. Then Byron tells Kenny that there is no magical powers and fairies and Wool Pooh.
