Forces
Balancing forces
explain the term
a balanced force is where a force is stable and the object is standing still with normal force and gravity and a unbalanced is when another force is acting on the object like push or pull and other forces
-
-
fact/atribute
there can be a push force and a push force on the other side with the same strength it can still be balanced as long as it doesn't move
Types of forces
non contact forces
Gravity

Questions
- What do you need to do to make a circular orbit?
-
- How many stable orbits can you make that do not overlap? What difficulties do you face?
-
- Why is it impossible to have more than one planet making a clean orbit?
-
- Extension: the moon can be said to be constantly falling towards earth. How does this simulation help us understand this?
The gravity of the earth pulls the moon towards us because the gravity of the moon is not as strong as the earth
On the moon there is less gravity so people can jump higher because gravity is what keeps everything on the ground

contact forces
push
Explanation: push is when something contacts an object and starts moving the object in the direction that they are facing so your moving the object away from you
-
-
-
questions observations the speed and distance is determined by how hard you hit the ball in factory that design thing you can push the lid on a container push can be a non contact force with the wind
-
pull
questions observations yes just change the direction your moving the object not sure you can take a lid off in a factory
example when you pull something you can be pushing the door closed or pulling the brakes on your bike
-
explanation pull is the opposite push you can still move stuff but your just pulling an object towards
-
when we used a magnet we were pulling the paper clips towards us through the glass so the magnet doesn't need to be right next to it the magnet can have something between it . Also the more pages you put together the harder it was to pull the textbook out.
-
normal
-
-
-
Explanation the normal force is where if something get pulled down by gravity but has another force pushing it upwards with the same strength so it sits still
-
twist
questions observations if you push and the the other hand pushes the other way it can turn into a twist
-
-
facts sometimes the thing you are twisting doesn't always twist it depend on how solid the object your twisting is
explanation twist is when you have two t hands on different parts of something and their force is going the other way rom each other
