In the beginning of the story, Princess Elizabeth was engaged to marry to Prince Ronald. Then, Dragon came, burned down the castle they were living in, and took Prince Ronald captive. Princess Elizabeth had nothing to wear, so she clothes herself with a paper bag. She out smarts Dragon and rescues Prince Ronald. However, Prince Ronald is angry with how she is dressed, so she breaks up with him. Princess Elizabeth is courageous, intelligent, and confident. She is the protagonist in the story.
